Due to the general locality information, any threats which threatens the whole population are unknown. One collection was made in a National Park which, looking at satellite imagery, shows signs of logging (GFW 2018). A large part of the forests of Chanthaburi Province in Thailand have been developed and/or logged (GFW 2018), though the locality on Khao Khitchakut is likely to be secure because it is a sacred site.

One collection (P. Dy Phon 1157 P!) was made in Preah Monivong (Bokor), a National Park and ASEAN Heritage Park and another (Nai Noe 77 BM!) is probably from Khao Khitchakut NP in Chanthaburi, Thailand (Protected Planet 2018), in which individuals could be under a level of protection. Research and monitoring is needed of this species to be able to understand its conservation needs.
