Possible threats which are specific to this species are unrecorded. The habitat is, however, under threat. Land is continuously converted to agricultural land and at time through the use of fire. The human population is also increasing in the Dalat Plateau region, which causes fragmentation of the habitat and a decline of its quality (BirdLife International 2018).
