The forests of Borneo and Sumatra are under continuous threat of being logged and the land converted to e.g. palm oil plantations (WWF 2018). Two of the locations from which this species is known have, based on satellite imagery (GFW 2018) lost a large part of their natural habitat due to logging and/or land coversion.
