It i-s not clear that any of the sites for this species are currently gazetted as protected: this should be rectified if possible, and if governmental protection cannot be secured, efforts should be made to invoke protection from local communities. Ngomboaku, where the species was seen recently at a site that is easily revisited, might be a suitable focus for conservation efforts of F. mannii.
