It is not certain whether this species is found within any protected area, although mapping of herbarium specimen localities suggests that one may fall within what is now the Biligiriranga Swamy Temple Wildlife Sanctuary area. No evidence of any ex situ conservation was found. Further research is needed to determine which conservation actions, if any, are needed.
