État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
This species is described as abundant across its range.
Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
There are not any direct threats for the species. This species grows in montane fynbos. Due to its inaccessibility and poor agricultural potential there is relatively low human population density and therefore little human impact on this habitat. One of the major threats to fynbos is the spread of alien plants, which have invaded parts of this species' range. There are however ongoing efforts to clear alien invasive plants from mountain catchment areas, and the impact of this threat is not severe.
