The forests of Borneo are under continuous threat of being logged and the land converted for e.g. palm oil production (WWF 2018). Within the extent of occurrence (EOO) there was nearly 10% tree cover loss from 2000 to 2016 (GFW 2018). This suggests that the habitat of this species is under threat.
