The forests of Borneo are under continuous threat of being logged and the land converted for e.g. palm oil production (WWF 2018). Over 15% of the tree cover within this species extent of occurrence was lost between 2000 and 2016 (GFW 2018). This would threaten the species through habitat degradation and loss.
