The forests of Borneo are under continuous threat of being logged and the land converted for e.g. palm oil production (WWF 2018). Within the extent of occurrence (EOO) over 21 % of the tree cover had been lost by 2016 compared to 2000 (GFW 2018). This decline in habitat quality threatens the species to a degree even though it has been found at times in logged areas.
