Description complète des menacesExpert
This species is considered to be threatened by habitat loss in parts of its range. The Sheba Estate is a commercial forestry operation, with plantations having replaced some of the montane grassland in which this species is found. On Pork Pie hill near Chimanimani town, there is some potential threat from grazing but this may not have a major impact as this species likes short grassland and may tolerate some grazing and fire pressure. However, the location at the Pasture Research Station is likely to be threatened: this Station closed in 1965 with subsequent reversion to commercial farmland which will have resulted in some habitat loss. This species is likely to be secure in the Chimanimani Mountains, although it appears to be scarce there.
