État de la populationExpert
This species is locally frequent across its distribution range. There is some evidence of declines in parts of its range due to habitat destruction and collecting in the region, that is suspected to be causing an ongoing population decline of between 15 and 25% over 30 years. This is well within the three generation time period (120 years), but further extrapolation is difficult and so this is treated here as the minimum population decline.

Description complète des menacesExpert
The predominant threat is habitat loss. Several subpopulations have been severely depleted over past decades through deforestation and collecting for the horticultural trade. The ongoing reduction is estimated to be between 15 and 25% over a 30 year period. The consensus is that there are still large subpopulations and overall decline has not yet reached the point where the species is threatened.
