État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
The population size of Cycas chevalieri is estimated to be more than 10,000 plants in the wild. The population has declined over the past 40-50 years and this has accelerated over the last decade, estimated to be at an ongoing rate of 30-49% over three generations. One location in Nghia Dan, Nghe An province, has been entirely extirpated. Three subpopulations discovered in Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces have been destroyed due to road works and infrastructure, and conversion of habitat for afforestation with Acacia spp.
