Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
Threats to plant species in the region include weed invasion e.g., Andropogon virginicus, Opuntia stricta, Cestrum parqui and Lantana camara, conversion to agricultural land and pastures, inappropriate fire regimes, rubbish dumping and sewage disposal, damage from roadworks, construction of dams and water channels or other activities altering the hydrological cycle, overgrazing and water pollution. However these threats may not directly impact this species because it is a resilient species with good regeneration capacity. The taxon grows in a wide range of habitats. As a herbaceous resprouter, the species tolerates environmental stresses such as drought and fire and is common in roadsides, quarries, urban areas and other artificially or naturally disturbed sites (Bradstock et al. 1997).

Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
The whole range of this species occurs in areas which benefit both from international e.g., Ramsar Convention and Unesco-Mab Biosphere Reserve and national protection e.g. National Parks, Nature Reserves, Scientific areas and Conservation Reserves. This species is not under any legal protection across its range, but is listed as rare in Victoria (Department of Sustainability and Environment 2005).
