The habitat at the type locality has been cleared, so the species may well be extinct. There are some remnant patches of Dipterocarp forest in the area where this species may still exist.

The Dipterocarp forest has been completely cleared since this species was collected in 2010 to convert the habitat into Acacia plantations for the paper and pulp industry.
