Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
The Albanian population is within a National Park, and the largest population in FYR Macedonia is within the Pelister National Park. In Greece, the species is reported from two Natura 2000 sites, SPA (Birds Directive) and SCI/SPA (Habitats and Birds Directives) respectively; Oros Voras (GR1240008) and Koryfes Orous Vora (GR1240001). The species was considered 'Rare' by Mathews (in Phitos et al. 1995), who proposed the control of bulb collection, and conservation measures if ski resorts were developed.
