État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
The population trend for this species is unknown. There are 23 collections for this species (21 in Ghana and two in Nigeria), representing subpopulations, of which specimens were collected by three different collectors (A.P.D. Jones, J.K. Morton and C.D. Adams) from 1947 in Nigeria to 1959 in Ghana. There is no evidence that these subpopulations have been lost since the specimens were collected. Many of the above subpopulations are geographically very close to each other and are thought to be similarly affected by climatic events, such as severe drought, which is the primary threat to this species. Therefore, based on this threat, this species occurs in five locations (three in Ghana and two in Nigeria).
