Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
The main threats on Mulanje are to the forest habitats; these threats include encroachment of agricultural land, wildfires, collection of wood for fuel. However, invasive species are also affecting the native vegetation (Atlas of our Changing Environment, UNEP, accessed 2009). It is not clear why no collections have been made from Mt. Meru since the single collection in the mid-1880s.
