The species is classed as globally 'Apparently Secure' by NatureServe (2014), however the populations in the Canadian Province of British Columbia are classed as 'Critically Imperiled'. The Canadian Endangered Species Conservation Council (CESCC 2011+) also class the species as 'May be at risk' (for Canada only).
