This species doesn't seem to be affected by grazing animals. Kyllini's plateau is easily accessible and the species could be threatened if the existing ski centre is expanded (Persson in Phitos et al. 2009). In Mt Taygetos, the species could face the threat of wild fires, but it is unlikely that the whole population could go extinct.
