Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
Parts of the region suffer from a high rate of deforestation and habitats loss. It is not known how this affects the population of this species. However, collections of this bamboo in disturbed forests, cultivated areas and roadsides suggest that the taxon is able to regenerate and persists in disturbed habitats and secondary vegetation. The taxon may be collected in the wild for the horticultural trade as seeds may not be easily available. Culms may also be locally used to weave baskets.
