Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
Threats to the native herbaceous layer in the region include the traditional practice of burning down most of the lower stratum of the forest to allow for fresh growth as fodder for cattle. Other threats include pollution, erosion, expansion of human settlements and agriculture development (Valero et al. 2001). These threats are lessened at higher elevations. The resilience of this taxon to fires and anthropogenic disturbances has not been documented.
