Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
While this species is not mentioned specifically in terms of threats, the WWF (2011) highlights three main threats to the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park: land encroachment, poaching and illegal logging. Illegal encroachment and conversion of the forest for agriculture (particularly coffee) is the most serious threat. Over 15,000 squatter camps have been recorded inside the National Park, with widespread deforestation outside of the park (Sullivan 2008).

Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
The only available specimen was collected on what is now the fringe of mosaic cropland and broadleaved forest, where the human population is low and the footprint is modest. The specimen was collected on the edge of what is now the 3,568 km² Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park. The park has been designated by UNESCO as the Cluster Mountainous Tropical Rainforest Herritage Site of Sumatera (WWF 2011). It is recommended that its seeds are banked as an ex situ conservation measure, and that further research is conducted to determine population numbers, range and levels of threats to this species.
