État de la populationExpert
Recent collections indicate that C. philippinensis is common and abundant in large parts of the range (e.g., Papua New Guinea, Irian Jaya) (specimen data). The taxon appears to be rare in other parts of the range e.g., Philippines (Defensor 2005). The size and dynamics of the population are unknown.
Description complète des menacesExpert
This species is an alpine herb, which is found in areas of low human footprint (Sanderson et al. 2002). The taxon has been collected in several fire induced grasslands and other recently burned sites. Climate change may affect the dynamics of the population, however, there are currently no threats which jeopardize the survival of this common wide ranging species.
