Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
Castanopsis tessellata is not listed in any ex situ collections on BGCI (2020). It is possible the species occurs within the Dong Hua Sao National Biodiversity Conservation Area in Lao PDR but this requires confirmation. Recommended conservation actions include sustainable collection and conservation in ex situ sites as well as additional research on the species to better understand its population size, trends and threats. The species has been nationally assessed as Endangered in China (Qin et al. 2017) and Vulnerable in Viet Nam (Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment 2007).
