The lowlands of Viet Nam have been severely altered by forest clearing for agriculture and urbanization. Outside the few protected areas holding intact lowland vegetation, forest fragments remaining are largely secondary, or severely disturbed. It is likely the species is threatened but due to the lack of distribution data the threats to the species are currently unknown.
