There is no detailed information on the population size and current trend of this species. Based on a reduction analysis for Sabah, the species has experienced a 26% reduction in extent of occurrence and 25% reduction in area of occupancy in Sabah, and an equivalent reduction in the population is suspected for the region. The level of decline across the species' full distribution is believed to be below the threshold for a threatened category. The overall trend of this species is unknown.
