Campynemanthe parva does not seem to be significantly threatened although some subpopulations may be impacted by invasive species (feral pigs and Rusa Deer, Rusa timorensis), which contribute to a decline in the habitat quality.

Campynemanthe parva is not protected by legislation in New Caledonia but it does occur in four protected areas: Rivière Bleue, Côte Oubliée, Haute Yaté and Massif du Kouakoué. This species has a high phylogenetic importance as it is part of the family Campynemataceae which consists of two genera and four species of perennial herbaceous plants endemic to New Caledonia and Tasmania. This species should be collected more and observations compared to the identification keys. Survey work at Mé Maoya is recommended and genetic studies are suggested in order to facilitate species identification within this genus.
