Description complète des menacesExpert
Continuous and intensive pressure from encroaching agriculture, increasing exploitation by growing human populations, illegal collection from the wild for horticultural trade, fire and introduced plants reduce and disturb some patches of forest area in which this species grows, pesticide use causes the decline of the specific pollinators of some orchids in Madagascar (J. Andriantiana pers. obs.), but are not thought currently to threaten its persistence (L. Rajaovelona pers. obs.).

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
There are no known conservation measures specifically for this species but the species is known to occur in several Protected Areas (Marojejy, Masoala, Midongy du Sud, Ranomafana). It is recommended that seed are collected, for storage and in vitro propagation, as part of ex situ and restoration-based conservation measures.
