État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
Population decline has taken place since ± 1940 and more than 80% of this species' habitat is now lost. The generation length for bulbinellas is unknown, but is unlikely to exceed 20 years, so an A2 listing is not possible. Individual plants are very sensitive to disturbance and trampling and grazing will cause individuals to die. The size of subpopulations has not been sufficiently quantified to determine if this taxon qualifies as severely fragmented.
