Population size and trends for this plant are unknown. However, the species has been identified as abundant in Lebanon (mountains of Liban and Anti-Liban) (Lebanon Flora 2013).

In the Galilee in Israel, cattle grazing has impacted the species. No concern regarding the species is reflected in the management plans of the protected areas where it occurs (SETS 2007, Dovrat et al. 2012).

No conservation actions in place or needed have been reported for this plant, although the species is known from several protected areas. In Lebanon it is present in the protected areas of Bentael Nature Reserve, Jabal Moussa Biosphere Reserve (Lebanon Flora 2013) and Tannourine Cedar Forest Nature Reserve (SETS 2007), and in Israel it has been found in the Ramat-Hanadiv Park (Dovrat et al. 2012).
