Bromus moesiacus is listed under Appendix I of the Convention on the Conservation of European Wildlife and Natural Habitats (Bern Convention). It is listed as Near Threatened in the Bulgarian Red List (Petrova and Vladimirov 2009). The localities are in one national park and some protected areas and in Natura 2000 sites.
