État de la populationExpert
While this species is currently common in montane forests throughout its range (C. Rasmussen pers. obs.), its habitat is under pressure from agricultural and other development. However, recent trends of its population are currently unavailable. Efforts to document this species' presence throughout its historic range would contribute greatly to our understanding of this species conservation status.

Description complète des menacesExpert
The major common threat to this species in the Andean region is habitat loss due to extensive farming. Agricultural expansion with the removal of Andean forests and the replacement of the diverse native Andean flora, with fewer and cultivated crops, is a major threat to all species.
