The species is reported from three localities inside the conservation area; in 2000, it was sighted at the nearby logging area, but no samples have been collected because of the inaccessibility of the area and the presence in this area is now uncertain.

Climate change is a potential threat to the species, as it is known not to tolerate higher temperatures or differences in the rainfall. The status of the subpopulations occurring outside the protected area is not known because no survey have been conducted there, but it is known that logging activities were carried out the protected areas.
