There is no information on the population size of this species. Since this species has only been recorded from within, or very close to protected areas and no direct threats have been identified, it is suspected that this species' population trend is currently stable.

All known collections of this species have been made from in or just outside of protected areas: Lore Lindu National Park and Gunung Ambang Wildlife Reserve. Satellite imagery and land use data from Global Forest Watch (2021) indicates that there is extensive intact habitat available at all of the known collection localities. Based on this, there are not thought to be any direct threats currently impacting this species.
