The population of Beclardia grandiflora is currently thought to be decreasing since the species habitat is threatened. Moreover, the specimen taken on an individual within the footprint of a mining project undergoing intense human pressure such as forest clearing is now considered extirpated. The number of individual of B. grandiflora is not known and it is difficult to estimate since the species is an epiphyte.

Beclardia grandiflora undergoes continuing decline in EOO, AOO, habitat quality, number of locations and number of mature individuals due to habitat destruction namely mining, agricultural practices and logging. One specimen has been recorded within the footprint of the mining project.

Beclardia grandiflora occurs in three protected areas: Analamazaotra Special reserve,  Ankeniheny Zahamena forest corridor (CAZ) and Mantadia. It is also listed in CITES Appendix II. One collection has been brought into cultivation in the Ambatovy shade house.
