État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
No population assessments are available for this species. However, it is considered rare and infrequent in occurrence despite dense stands (mostly at lower altitudinal ranges) (Moraes 2020). It is considered severely fragmented, as more than half of the individuals occur in small isolated subpopulations, and these subpopulations may be too small to be viable in the long term.

Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
The biggest threat is the destruction of natural environments, either through road construction or the establishment of dwellings. These actions are rather recent in the last 15 years in the region. This pattern is likely to increase in the near future because the roads are on geologically unstable sites and therefore efforts are being made to consolidate this infrastructure.
