The only known subpopulation of this species occurs in an area outside of the protected area network which is heavily impacted by human activities. In the 50+ years since the species was recorded, the natural vegetation of the area has become degraded and ongoing degradation is anticipated in the future. A targeted search is required to relocate the species and reassess its status, and to develop a conservation plan.
