Description complète des menacesExpert
The major threats for this species should be those affecting the quality and quantity of water especially water pollution, temperature extreme, alien invasion, and sudden drought. It’s also mentioned that most of the species of the genus Aponogeton have edible tubers, leaves and inflorescences (Flore d'Afrique Centrale). This is not explicitly clear for this species, but in any case, this is a lethal exploitation and if not controlled can affect the population and later on the survival of this species. Mining activity and logging are increasing in the general area where this species occurs, which may increase the turbidity of the water and have a negative impact on this species.
