This species is known from 83 occurrences and 53 locations. The current population trend is decreasing since the species habitat is under threat. Its number of mature individuals is not known and cannot be estimated since the species is epiphyte.

Some unprotected sites where Angraecum eichlerianum was collected are currently subject to a great deal of human pressure, especially from urbanization, shifting agriculture, small holder farming and plantations, and selective logging for domestic uses.

Angraecum eichlerianum has been collected in ten protected areas; four in Cameroon (Dja Faunal Reserve, Korup, Mount Cameroon and Campo Ma’an National Parks), three in Equatorial Guinea (Monte Alén National Park, Estuaro del Muni Natural Reserve and Natural Monument of Piedra Bere), one in Gabon (Monts Doudou National Park) and two in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (Yangambi Biosphere Reserve and Virunga National Park). These ten protected areas are not under threat. Angraecum eichlerianum is easily being grown in shadehouses in Central Africa (Yaoundé in Cameroon, Libreville, Tchimbélé and the Sibang Arboretum in Gabon), and by some hobbyists.
The species is listed in CITES Appendix II.
