This species is known from three subpopulations representing two locations. The current population trend is decreasing. The species has been assessed by Cheek et al. (2000) then by Pollard (2011). While assessing the species, Pollard mentioned two collections of the species, one of which, the specimen Letouzey 14224 belongs in fact to the species Angraecopsis ischnopus.

Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
Angraecopsis lisowskii has been collected on plantations or on isolated trees in villages, near roadsides, where its habitat is easily accessible and threatened by small-scale activities such as shifting agriculture and collecting of fuel wood.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
The species can easily grow on isolated trees near villages or inside plantations, in submontane habitat (above 1,500 m elevation). Angraecopsis lisowskii was cultivated in Yaoundé shade house in Cameroon, but the living specimens died after two years in cultivation (2011-2012). Efforts should be made to collect again living specimens and produce seeds for long-term conservation.
