État de la populationExpert
The population size is unknown. Several collections have been made in many sites in the Philippines. Most of these are, however, old records (pre 1919) (ZRC 2019).
Description complète des menacesExpert
Very little of the tree cover was lost between 2000 and 2018 within the extent of occurrence (EOO) (GFW 2019). This is, however, most likely due to a large portion of the natural forest having been lost and/or converted previous to 2000.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
This species has been recorded by BGCI (2019) to be grown in two ex situ sites. Two collections (Nagata 2892, 3363) were made from cultivated material now in Lyon Arboretum, Hawaii (ZRC 2019). Some individuals have been seen in protected areas such as Mount Apo Natural Park and Mount Makiling National Park in which they should stay conserved (Protected Planet 2019, ZRC 2019).
