Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
Three of the five known specimens of this species were collected between 1875 and 1913 and the sites where they were collected are fairly uncertain, therefore assessing the threats present over much of the known range of this species need to take into account this uncertainty. Two of these older specimens was most likely collected at the Anggi Lakes, judging from the expedition maps in Vink (1965), where there are threats from infrastructure development, particularly new roads, the development of settlements and agriculture and repeated fires. One of the modern specimens were collected within the Pegunungan Arfak nature reserve, where there are large areas of continuous forest and few threats. The other modern specimen was collected in the foothills south of the Prafi river valley. Although the valley floor has been converted to oil palm, the known records for this species are above 650 metres asl, where there are still large areas of forest present, however due to its proximity to the roads and settlements in this area its risk of deforestation can be regarded as quite high.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesStratégies de conservation IUCNExpert
At least one of the known specimens was collected within the Pegunungan Arfak Nature Reserve (UNEP-WCMC and IUCN 2024). Three of the known specimens have very uncertain localities so they may also be from within the protected area. This species is not known to be in any ex situ collections (BGCI 2024).
