État de la populationExpert
The population size is unknown. Based on tree cover loss data (GFW 2018) there is, however, a suspected negative population trend.

Description complète des menacesExpert
The forests of Borneo are being lost as land is being converted for e.g. palm oil production (WWF 2018). Based on satellite imagery (GFW 2018) there is a projected decline in the quality of the species' habitat. There has been over 11% tree cover loss within the extent of occurrence (EOO) during a 16 year period (2000–2016) (GFW 2018).

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
None of the available herbarium collections were collected in protected areas. One herbarium collection (not included in the EOO/AOO) was collected from an cultivated individual from Mulawarman University Botanic Garden. There are no ex situ localities registered with BGCI (2018). Research and monitoring is needed to better understand this species conservation needs. Habitat protection is, however, known to be needed if this species is to stay conserved.
