Aloe erensii has been collected repeatedly from Lokitauung Gorge in the North of the Turkana District. This area is home to nomadic pastoralists. Pressures on natural resources is likely to increase as a result of a growing human population (Notenbaert et al. 2007) and lead to habitat degradation.
