Description complète des menacesExpert
Encroachment by agriculture (crops and livestock - especially goats) is the main threat. Uncontrolled collection of plants from the wild for the aloe gel market may also be a problem. Has been targeted in the past for the succulent trade (there are many plants in cultivation). Habitat clearance for charcoal burning is also a growing threat.

Habitats préférentiels (classification IUCN)

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
Has been recorded from a few protected areas: Tsavo East National Park; possibly Chyulu National Park; Mkomazi Game Reserve (sight record), and Mwache Forest Reserve.
