État de la populationExpert
This aloe is known from only one location. The site is about 100 m long by 30 m wide. On this surface, the plant is abundant, several hundred clumps, but probably less than 1,000 individuals (J.-P. Catillon pers. comm. 2018).

Description complète des menacesExpert
This species is regularly reached by bush fires. What has saved the plant, until now, is that it grows on a very rocky area with little vegetation (Poaceae) and fires hover over the site without burning the plants which are often found protected growing under stones. As soon as the rocky area finishes, the aloe disappears. All the mountains in the vicinity were explored without finding another supopulation (J.-P. Castillon pers. comm. 2018).
