État de la populationTexte officiel évaluation IUCNExpert
Aloe dawei is a widespread species. In Kenya, it is reported as one of the 10 most common aloes of the country, based on computed national values of the extent of occurrence (EOO in Kenya is 13,727 km2), with a total of seven different point data records there (Wabuyele et al. 2006).
The high frequency with which the species is reported could be due to its widespread cultivation, given that no large natural populations have been noticed (Q. Luke pers. obs. 2019). A study on the population range and origin is recommended.

Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
The species is widespread and while it is possibly declining in parts of its range, it is not thought that any global population decline is likely to meet (or be close to meeting) the threshold for Vulnerable.
