This aloe is locally abundant and forms scattered clumps. It reproduces abundantly by suckers and forms extensive colonies that can have hundreds of plants over several square meters.

Even though Analavelona Massif is part of a nominated New Protected Areas (NPA), human activities such as shifting agriculture and induce fires take place at a low intensity affecting the species' and its habitat (http://www.nocomment.mg/analavelona/). Selective logging also affects the species habitat.

Analavelona Massif is part of a New Protected Area (NPA). It is recorded within two botanic gardens around the world (BGCI 2018). Seed collection of the species is recommended to ensure the long term conservation of the species. This species would benefit from research on the population trend, uses and long term management plans. This species is listed in CITES Appendix II (CITES 2019).
