Description complète des menacesExpert
Leaf Beetle (Linaeidea formosana) was found in Yushan National Park in 2008 and subpopulations across the whole mountain areas were damaged by the beetles. The trees have been gradually recovering and are no longer withering or losing leaves. This is one of the major pests of Alnus formosana, with its larva and imago both feeding on new leaves and buds.

Mesures de conservation recommandéesExpert
There are no conservation actions currently reported or needed for this species, as it appears to naturally regenerate well following disturbance. However, as there is a known pest posing a threat to the species, it would benefit from monitoring this pest to ensure that the wild population does not become threatened by the spread of the pest.
