Description complète des menacesTexte détaillé évaluation IUCNExpert
Deforestation and illegal logging are major issues facing southwestern China. Due to increasing industrialization and population growth, forests have been cleared for timber, agriculture and infrastructure. As this species is found growing in these areas it is likely it may be affected by habitat fragmentation and deforestation. Where this species grows along the Yangtze River Basin it is threatened by water pollution from industrial waste, sewage and agricultural run-off. Construction of dams, including the Three Gorges Dam have also increased the risk of riverbank collapses and landslides which could threaten this species as it grows along stream banks. The ecosystem around the Yangtze River Basin is also severely damaged due encroachment of urban and agricultural landscapes.
